cycle style auckland

WE'AR took part in Cycle Style 2012 on Sunday down at shed 10 in the viaduct, and oh what fun we had! our jaunty and bright trans-seasonal looks were modeled by radiant friends of we'ar on a variety of gorgeous bikes....

clockwise from top left: selena from the yoga academy in her kabuki klompen, our desert rider boots, selena on the runway, military-esque herringbone cap, batwing sweater and petit chevalier pants, Count Wilhelm in his dean bone jacket and linen pom pom scarf, we'ar team member Natalie in tubelicious, raja shorts and bikuphile jacket x x x

clockwise from top left: zesty we'ar team member Marolyn in her polkahontas dress, we'ar models lined up before the show, road testing in the carpark, we'ar show finale x x x

Being that Jyoti is a keen cyclist herself (having recently purchased a snappy black matte electric bike) and Anya in the market for her own bicycle, it seemed like a great event to be involved with - eco-friendly transport looking even better with our beautiful yogi, yogini and dancer friends wearing fun and fabulous we'ar fashions!

The event was a celebration of urban cycling combined with fun fashion - a chance for people to soak up the atmosphere, test ride bikes courtesy of T-Whites, R&R and Cyco, as well as check out the fabulous designs on show. You could also grab a coffee care of our pals from Millers Coffee and watch some sweet demonstrations. The perfect way to spend a laid back Sunday! We'ar would love to thank Cleo Barnett for having us along to showcase our stylish outfits -  which worked a treat on the cycles... functional, comfortable and effortlessly chic x x x

Cycle Style is a free event presented by Frocks on Bikes and Cycle Action Auckland in association with Auckland Transport. We will have more about cycle goodness up on the we'ar website soon!
