living breathing earth

incredible site breathing earth gives a world wide overview of real-time CO2 emissions around the globe as well as birth and death rates - pretty impressive visual data!  there are also some good links and information about the status of global warming...

and if you haven't seen it already, check out home - a film by photographer yann arthus-bertrand. stunning footage taken from aeriel shots of the earth and commentary on how humanity is threatening the ecological balance of the planet.  depressing as that sounds, it makes you think twice about some of the choices we make, and the imagery is so beautiful you will be glad you saw it xx

disco fever

found these pre-loved flared jeans sifting around the back of the wardrobe this morning...

now re-loved with we'ar square tan boots!

also quite fetching with kabuki klompen - flower child styles :)

the beauty of revamping an old favourite with some excellent footwear xx

winter escape lust

desa seni in canggu, bali is an amazing eco resort and on a major wishlist for my ideal winter holiday... boasting refurbished antique homes and a fantastic yoga schedule.
was lucky enough to practice a beautiful class here last year and the grounds are whimsical and naturally magical. want to be here now! xx

pretty good

good magazine is an nz publication dedicated to bringing you the good things in life - eco friendly designs, articles and recipes to name a few. came across this handy little guide on the website showing what produce is in season throughout the year, and seeing as its officially winter tomorrow (boo!) its useful to know what fruit and veg is in its prime.
check out this tried and trusted warm kumara salad recipe - its vegan and so easy and delicious!

bake two kumara whole (skin on) for 1 hr.
chop into bite sized chunks and mix with chopped spring onion, parsley and a few handfuls of baby spinach leaves.
drizzle over 2 Tb spoon each of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
season with salt and pepper.

for a non-vegan option add some crumbled feta cheese. yum xx

organic love

we'ar is passionate about using organic sustainable textiles and dye - read more on our webpage about the processes we use in bali where our garments are lovingly crafted...
a popular example is our tubelicious dress in plant dye blue - each piece is subtly unique due to the dying process with dye made from crushed leaves...

a cozy layering dress with hood that can be worn over the shoulders or as a softly draping cowl xx
